Central City Opera (CCO) Guild hosted an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing on Thursday, April 18th to raise money for CCO’s Historic Properties. Central City Opera owns and maintains 32 historic buildings, including 27 residences built in Central City between 1860 and 1900. They are part of the Central City/Black Hawk National Landmark Historic District and require a significant amount of maintenance and upkeep. The preservation of these Historic Properties is integral to the original charter of the organization from 1932, and remains a key component of Central City Opera’s mission today.

2013 PARTY for PRESERVATION highlighted one of the CCO Historic Properties that is in greatest need:
Nicholas House, built in 1875.
